Vincent Dauvissat produces Chardonnay from Chablis, the northernmost region of Burgundy. The winery's portfolio centers on the mineral-driven expressions that define the appellation—wines shaped by the region's limestone-rich soils and cool continental climate. Les Clos, the largest and most prestigious of Chablis's Grand Cru vineyards, yields a wine of structure and depth. Les Preuses, another Grand Cru site, offers comparable complexity. The 1er Cru 'Montée de Tonnerre' sits below these in the hierarchy but maintains the precision and salinity characteristic of Chablis at this level. All three have been assessed by major critics including Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Advocate. The wines reflect the technical demands of cool-climate viticulture and the particular terroir of northern Burgundy.
