Colsanto produces wines from Umbria, in central Italy's rolling hills. The winery works with indigenous varieties that define the region: Sagrantino, known for its structure and dark fruit intensity, and Trebbiano Spoletino, a white of mineral precision. Ruris Umbria blends Montepulciano, Sagrantino, Merlot, and Sangiovese into a wine that captures the complexity of its terroir. Montarone Montefalco Sagrantino, a single-varietal expression, showcases the grape's characteristic depth. Cantaluce, made from Trebbiano Spoletino, demonstrates the aromatic and textural range of Umbrian whites. The wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator.
